Starting point: Baška

A guided walking tour begins in front of the Hotel Forza where you will meet a guide with the beautiful view on the Baška beach. Ascending towards the plateau of the Moon, you will hear the story of the ruins of the old Baška castle destroyed by the Venetians in 1380.


We will stop at the church of St. Ivan is important to all locals. There is a local cemetery that offers a beautiful panoramic view of Baška. Looking towards Baška, you will hear the story of how Baška, its port, and people's occupations have changed throughout history. We will also look at the graves of people who contributed a lot to the development of tourism in Baška.


We will continue on a well-maintained hiking trail that gently climbs through a pine forest. The forest is planted on a rocky outcrop where vineyards once grew, and we’ll also reveal to you what the idea is behind building the road we walk on.


Not far from the trail is the Stražica lookout point, from which maritime traffic used to be monitored


The ascent to almost 400 m above sea level will reward us with a beautiful view of the vast sea area bordered by numerous islands and the mountain Velebit.


The trail ends on a bare rocky plateau that looks like the moon and is divided by beautiful dry stone walls, built for livestock.
